Steve Webster
Technical Director
Bassist. Icon. One-man marketing machine for men’s hair products of the 1980s. More than just the awkward letter in our name, Steve’s impressive career has taken him from MTV, Saturday Night Live and across stages all around the world. Best known for recording and touring with Billy Idol, Alannah Myles, Carole Pope, the Parachute Club and other marquee acts of the 80s, Steve has spent the last twenty years proving he was more than just a warm body underneath some hair gel. He’s composed, arranged, produced and yes, even played on hundreds of television commercials. In recent years, Steve has returned to his roots of progressive rock and jazz fusion by forming Heavy Weather, playing the music of Weather Report. Other recent projects include recording with The Code and Lorraine Segato.
Is he done with the world of hard rock, touring, groupies and leather? Probably. But one thing’s for sure – wherever there’s a fat bass line and fists pumping in the air, you’ll find the legend of Steve Webster. You’ll also find him as an integral part of the success of RMW Music. Just look for the man with the full head of hair, sans gel.
